Terms and Conditions for Language Courses Offered by Speak Bilingual LLC ("SBLI")
By enrolling in any language course offered by Speak Bilingual LLC ("SBLI"), whether online or in-person (collectively referred to as “the Course” or “SBLI Courses”), the student agrees to the following terms and conditions: 1.Class Schedule and Attendance Students are responsible for attending classes at the scheduled times. There will be no make-up classes for absences, late arrivals, or early departures under any circumstances. Class schedules are fixed and cannot be changed. 2. Technology and Access (Online Classes) Students participating in online classes must ensure they have access to a stable internet connection, a functional device with video/audio capabilities, and updated software as required. SBLI is not liable for missed class time or interruptions caused by the student’s technical issues. No additional time or refund will be granted for such disruptions. 3. No Refund Policy There will be no refunds for student cancellations, missed classes, or any portion of the Course not attended. Tuition is non-refundable once enrollment is completed. 4. Tuition Currency and International Transactions All tuition fees are listed in U.S. Dollars (USD). Speak Bilingual LLC (SBLI) is not responsible for any international transaction fees, credit card processing fees, exchange rate differences, or additional charges applied by financial institutions. Students enrolling from outside the United States are solely responsible for covering any such fees. SBLI does not provide tuition adjustments or refunds due to currency fluctuations, exchange rates, or international banking policies. 5. Student Visa Sponsorship Policy Speak Bilingual does not issue or support any type of student visa, including but not limited to F-1 visas or I-20 documentation. Students are solely responsible for ensuring they meet all legal, immigration, or residency requirements necessary for study or participation. Enrollment does not grant or imply eligibility for a U.S. visa under any circumstance. 6. Substitute Instructors SBLI reserves the right to assign a substitute teacher at any time, with or without notice. A substitute may lead any number of sessions or the full Course if required due to scheduling or availability. 7. Liability Disclaimer for Online Participation Students are solely responsible for the safety and condition of their physical environment, internet connection, and devices used during online classes. Speak Bilingual LLC (“SBLI”) is not liable for any personal injury, health issue, damage to property, device malfunction, or data loss occurring during or as a result of participation in online classes, whether at home or any other location. By enrolling, students acknowledge and accept full responsibility for ensuring that their space and equipment are safe, functional, and suitable for online learning. SBLI shall not be held responsible for any direct or indirect damages, accidents, or losses sustained before, during, or after the online course sessions. 8. Copyright and Use of Materials All course content, including but not limited to lesson plans, worksheets, audio/video materials, and visual slides, is the intellectual property of SBLI and protected under copyright law. Unauthorized reproduction, recording, distribution, or sharing in any format is strictly prohibited and may result in legal action. 9. Indemnification and Liability By enrolling in the Course, the student agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless SBLI, its owners, officers, employees, instructors, contractors, affiliates, and representatives from and against any and all claims, demands, liabilities, losses, damages, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorney’s fees) arising out of or related to their participation in the Course. This includes, but is not limited to, claims resulting from personal injury, illness, property damage, technology failure, internet interruptions, or other issues experienced during online or in-person classes; disputes arising from the use or misuse of course materials; and any breach of these terms and conditions, including violations of behavioral or copyright policies. Students also agree that SBLI shall not be held liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including financial loss, academic delay, or emotional distress, whether arising from course participation, interaction with staff or other students, or use of SBLI's platforms and materials. This indemnification clause shall remain in effect during and after the student’s participation in the Course and applies regardless of negligence or fault, to the fullest extent permitted by law. 10. Code of Conduct Students are expected to maintain a respectful, cooperative, and professional attitude at all times during their participation in SBLI Courses. Disruptive behavior, use of aggressive, harassing, or offensive language, intimidation, threats, or any form of verbal abuse directed at instructors, staff, or fellow students will not be tolerated. Discrimination of any kind—including but not limited to race, gender, religion, ethnicity, nationality, age, or disability—is strictly prohibited. Speak Bilingual LLC (“SBLI”) reserves the right to immediately remove any student from the Course without refund if they engage in behavior that violates these standards or disrupts the learning experience for others. Such violations may also result in permanent dismissal from all future SBLI programs. 11. Dress Code (Online and In-Person) All students are expected to present themselves in a manner appropriate for a learning environment. This includes wearing clean, modest attire (e.g., no pajamas, revealing clothing, or attire with offensive graphics) during both in-person and online classes. Inappropriate dress may result in removal from the session or further disciplinary action. 12. Class Participation and Camera Use (Online Classes) Students enrolled in online courses must keep their cameras on and remain visibly present for the duration of each class, unless specific arrangements are made with the instructor in advance. Active engagement, timely responses, and visible presence are essential to maintain a respectful and interactive online learning environment. Repeated failure to comply may result in removal from class without refund. 13. No Guarantee of Results SBLI and its instructors make no guarantees regarding specific outcomes, such as test scores, fluency levels, certifications, or academic/professional advancement. 14. No Direct Agreement with Instructor Students may not arrange side agreements, private lessons, or separate payments with any SBLI instructor outside of the organization without written authorization from SBLI. Doing so violates this agreement and may result in permanent suspension from future courses. 15. Sanctioned Countries Policy Due to U.S. government regulations, Speak Bilingual is unable to offer services or accept payments from individuals or entities located in regions subject to comprehensive U.S. sanctions, including but not limited to Iran, Cuba, North Korea, Syria, and the Crimea region of Ukraine. Any attempted purchases from these areas will be declined or refunded in accordance with applicable laws. It is the responsibility of the user to ensure compliance with their local laws and international regulations. 16. Legal Jurisdiction This agreement is governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, the United States, regardless of the student’s physical location or place of residence. 17. Agreement and Acknowledgment By enrolling in the Course, the student confirms they have read, understood, and agreed to all the above terms and conditions, and accepts full responsibility for complying with all SBLI policies. |
